This is what it looks like with most of the masking removed. I left the masking on in the sky area and have to decide what to do there. I've also done some more in the foreground and with the buildings. I think there is still hope and i am seeing some positives. It is really too early to know if it is going to work out or not. One never knows! At the very least the process is one of exploration and i learn from each of these whether they are "train wrecks" or frame worthy art. We shall see. I think i will put this one aside now and work on another until i figure out where to go next.

Ross, we are always so tough on ourselves! I don't see anything wrong with this painting, on the contrary, I think that it is coming along very well. I like it. As you can see on my blog, I am going through the same uncertainty with my current painting...it's probably all part of the creative process!
