Bert's County

I enjoy playing with the patterns for these landscapes. They take a long time to do as i have to build the color with many washes but the end is fun when i can place all the little darks here and there.

  1. Ross, the village of my dreams again! I love it!

There is always so much to admire and to find in your paintings. This is beautifully done.

    How large is it?

  2. Hi Christiane. Thanks so much for commenting. I guess i should put the sizes here. This one is 16" X 30". I've found this to be a favored size by potential customers as they fit so well over a bed or fireplace. The vertical ones as well. Hope you are well. Ross

  7. Ross, So happy to have 'given' you Grant Wood! I'm surprised that you hadn't seen his work before, but I am pleased to give you the thrill of seeing something that hive you that 'Oh My' sort of validation of your work. I hated his work way back when I was in Art School. Having 'a few' years to mature my eye and many years in the US midwest, I now find a great appreciation for his paintings and even more so his lithographs.

    Happy discovering!
