I enjoy playing with the patterns for these landscapes. They take a long time to do as i have to build the color with many washes but the end is fun when i can place all the little darks here and there.
Hi Christiane. Thanks so much for commenting. I guess i should put the sizes here. This one is 16" X 30". I've found this to be a favored size by potential customers as they fit so well over a bed or fireplace. The vertical ones as well. Hope you are well. Ross
Your work is very colorful and whimsical. This piece reminds me of a patch work quilt laid over a landscape.....just beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment, I appreciate.
Ross, So happy to have 'given' you Grant Wood! I'm surprised that you hadn't seen his work before, but I am pleased to give you the thrill of seeing something that hive you that 'Oh My' sort of validation of your work. I hated his work way back when I was in Art School. Having 'a few' years to mature my eye and many years in the US midwest, I now find a great appreciation for his paintings and even more so his lithographs.
Ross, the village of my dreams again! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThere is always so much to admire and to find in your paintings. This is beautifully done.
How large is it?
