My poor wife and our two dogs ran into a threesome of skunks
on the way to the dog park behind our house.
The dogs wanted to play with them, very roughly of course.
The wee skunks had no interest in any of that and told them so.
But alas the pups enthusiasm combined with the skunks impatience
resulted in the inevitable. The three of them got it good.
Boy does that smell!
Worst of all the, cat saw the whole thing enjoying it immensely.
Watercolor in a sketchbook. With ink i might add! :)
Not only the cat enjoyed the scene, me too.
ReplyDeleteLovely water color painting!
Thank you Duta! Glad you liked it! :)
DeleteOh such a great illustration of a stenchy situation Ross! And those darn cats. You asked me about my sketch books Ross, and I use (among others, but these r my fav) the Pentalic Field Book I think I got this one at the Medicine Hat College, but Opus might have them. The 7 X 10" size seems to be the "go to" one. They're just great...wire bound, hard black cover, 140lb nice paper. Oh, and dyou guys have the recipe for skunk spray? Liquid soap, a whole jug of peroxide and warm water? Works really well. XX
ReplyDeleteThanks Gena. I appreciate the information re: sketchbooks. Always on the search for a good one.
DeleteMy wife did try the mix you suggested. It had some impact but she said it took a while and many repeats of it to have any effect.
Oh noooo, sorry to smile but that is a very funny post. Your sketch is 'right on '
