"Little Sister"

One more new cow painting. Just one more.
I know I was supposed to stay off the cows for a while but i just could not resist this beauty.
I love painting cows. They remind me so much of my Boxers.
This classy lady belongs to a gal in the Netherlands who owns a farm and was very gracious in letting me use some of her photos. There will be more. :)
I know she has a real name but for now i called her "Little Sister" because that is what came to me when i posted this. The names do just come sometimes which i love.
This is acrylic on deep canvas 22" X 28'.

    1. Thank you Barbara. How nice to see you here! Your comment is greatly appreciated. Yes, we do miss our pups don't we? I think of Paulo often and the day we decided we needed to take him to end his pain. A most difficult day and a decision i hated making. Our puppies are such a delight and joy in our lives and they look to us trusting everything we do. I feel as though i betrayed that trust when i took him in. sigh! Hope all is well in your world Barbara. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. OK ... where is the next cow???
Ross, your comments made me giggle - thank you for that! Of course, I always have a chuckle when I visit your page, and see your Boxer photos!
The mist was an interesting effort - there was water and paint flowing and flying everywhere. :)

  5. This little sister looks like quite a character. Cows always have that look to them...stunned and a bit startled, "Are you lookin' at me?" and off they run. I can spend hours watching them , especially at calving season!

The colours are so delightful! Keep herding your paintings of cows. Paint what you love ! I expect to see moooore. It would be udderly ridiculous not to paint them. If any one tells you otherwise, they are full of bull! Okay, I am done playing.... Actually, one more. Don't be a coward, and paint more cows! Okay, I am done now!

Not! Paint until the cows come home!

    1. LOL! Thanks Renee! This made me laugh. Yes, i suppose the cows are here to stay. You know, it was the very first thing i painted when i set up my studio 7 years ago. I still have that painting somewhere around here. But i would have to Mooooove everything to get to it. :)
