"Julia's Mom"

This was a tough one.
I had donated two 1/4 sheet watercolour commissions to a dog rescue
group for their annual fundraiser.
One of the winning bidders wanted a portrait of her mom
and not a Boxer! Yikes!
The challenge lay before me. It took a long time for me to get to it
because i kept putting it off. But once i got started i had a lot of fun
and think it would be good to not limit myself to just doing cows.
There are many options before us.
Watercolour on Arches 300 lb. C/P paper. 12" X 16".

  2. Ross, you did a wonderful job on the portrait. Go for it...try different things. But then, you know me...I jump from one experiment to another and could not define my style:-)

    1. Thank you Christiane. It was fun to step out of the box a bit. I think our "style" stays with us no matter what we do. It shows in the execution. I admire your adventurous spirit and willingness to experiment. It can lead to wonderful revelations. :)
